How do we become living witnesses of God’s love for all people? 

By taking one step at a time. 

“…Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith….”  - Hebrews 12:1-2

Walking  (easy ways to begin)

  • Bring non-perishable food donations the first Sunday of the month
  • Host fellowship hour
  • Donate cookies, a cake or loaf of bread to an Election Day Bake Sale (to be held June 5th, August 14, November 6th)
  • Attend a Sunday morning forum
  • Walk a Madison neighborhood in August distributing door hangers inviting people to Trinity Church
  • Attend the May 20th Goods and Services auction with potluck lunch.  Bring a dish to pass.
  • Bring in gently used men’s clothing to be donated to soon-to-be released prisoners from Waupun Correctional Facility

Sprinting  (Short term commitments)

  • Offer a service or item for auction at the Trinity Shares Goods and Services Auction May 20thafter worship
  • Help plan family ministries for the summer and fall
  • Share your passion and/or knowledge of a language for children ages 6 through 11 at the Neighborhood House Summer Enrichment program this summer
  • Help set up the church library

Marathoners  (Three to six month commitments)

  • Attend a small group (Yoga, Centering Prayer, Bible Study)
  • Join the Parolee Reintegration Group and help a newly returned prisoner find hope
  • Serve as a friendly visitor to a homebound member of Trinity Church
  • Join the support team for Mujila Falls Agricultural Centre in Zambia
  • Join LGBTrinity and create outreach events to the LGBT community
  • Join United Methodist Women

 

Special Events

  • Create outreach strategies to UW students
  • Young Adults of Trinity Church – Next outing will be Saturday, May 5th working at the Hershberger Gardens run by the Catholic Multicultural Center.
  • Plan and/or lead music for Sunday worship  (U2 Eucharist, Blue Grass Service, Taize and more)
