			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last year we learned a lot from the <strong>Seven Deadly Sins</strong>&#8211; named vices used since early Christian times to educate and instruct followers concerning our personal tendency to sin. They are: <em>anger, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony</em>. Using that series as a springboard, this year we are going to learn about the <strong>Seven Deadly Social Sins</strong>.  According to <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohandas_Karamchand_Gandhi">Mahatma Gandhi</a>, one of the most influential figures in modern social activism, these Seven Deadly Socials sins are to be the most spiritually perilous to humanity.  They are:</p>
<p>3/6 Jazz Sunday: Politics without Principle<br />
Week 1: Wealth without Work<br />
Week 2: Commerce without Morality<br />
Week 3: Pleasure without Conscience<br />
Week 4: Education without Character<br />
Week 5: Science without Humanity<br />
Good Friday: Worship without Sacrifice</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>During the last sermon series, &#8216;War and Peace&#8217;, Pastor Amanda lead us in exploring various aspects of war, especially the theory of Just War.  To help get a different perspective on war&#8217;s effects, we interviewed the Toki family.  Akira is a Madison native of Japanese descent who fought in WWII. His wive, Mary, was imprisoned in an Japanese American internment camp during the war.  Needless to say, we were all very interested in what this unique couple had to say about war.</p>
