About Trinity
Trinity Celebrates the Affirmation of our New Mission/Vision Statement
Trinity United Methodist Church is to live out God’s hospitality
by welcoming and loving all people.
We are to be a home of spiritual renewal and a source for Christian transformation.
Trinity United Methodist Church is a progressive congregation tucked in the historic Greenbush Neighborhood. Trinity prides itself on being small, friendly, and diverse.
Small- Trinity’s size makes it easy for members to connect, allowing friendships and deeper faith to grow. Some members are students at the university; others are individuals who come across town or families who live in the neighborhood. Many older parishioners have been connected with this church, the Greenbush and South Side neighborhoods for decades.
Friendly- Trinity is a warm, caring faith community. It intentionally works to build stronger intergenerational relationships—offering home and family—in a lively, mobile city.
Diverse- Trinity Church is the Greenbush. Today, as over its rich history, Trinity prides itself on racial, ethnic, and linguistic diversity. Trinity’s members come from countries such as Ukraine, Germany, Ghana, Liberia and Peru and from states from Maine to Wisconsin to California, with more than 15 languages spoken among the congregants. We strive to model the “One body of Christ” with many members.
