As Christians we are to always be forming and transforming our faith and the world around us. We do this by being in small groups and learning from other Christians. Read on to learn about the importance and opportunities of small groups here at Trinity United Methodist Church. Small group options are available for all ages, including children.
What are small groups all about?
Small groups allow more intimacy than a worship setting can provide. They offer meaningful connection for new friends as well as long-time members. They focus on conversation and faith sharing, allowing us to better hear–and see–the Holy Spirit working in our lives. They help us to learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Which small group is right for me?
What do you like, what are your interests? There might be one small group that interests you—there might be several! Pick one or many! We do encourage all members and friends of Trinity United Methodist Church to participate in one small group. This is how we grow and learn together!
How long do the groups meet?
Some of the small groups meet for a short period of time, for example, the United Methodist/Denominations class meets for five weeks. Others may meet for an extended period of time, such as the Circles of Support. Please read the information carefully to understand the time commitment for your group of interest.
How do I register?
All classes are free, and all are welcome! Please download and the sign-up sheet linked below. Print it out and send it in/drop it off at the church office. If you’re interested in MORE than one class, you can indicate that on the same form, but please be specific about your availability and anything else you want us to know. Each member of your family should fill out a separate form. Group leaders will be in contact with you about the time, location and other information regarding your group. Specifics are outlined in the descriptions of each particular class in this newsletter. Questions? Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
